Precision Rifles for Sport and Competition

Over the last few years Accuracy International's target and tactical rifles have been used extensively in the hunting field in various calibers. The guns have been shot from standing and kneeling positions, from the ground, rested over stumps, over hoods and trunks of cars. They have been carried around over the shoulder, trundled around in vehicles and airplanes - all to ensure that the rifle/scope combination holds its zero and maintains its first shot hit capability. After exposure to wet, dirty and dusty conditions, general knocking around, vibration, deliberate neglect and thousands of shots fired, it was decided that a rifle based on Accuracy lnternational's tactical system would be well suited for hunting. The Varminter rifle, which is supplied in various 'hunting' calibers, is constructed by taking the core of the AW tactical rifle, adding a colored stock, a bright fluted stainless steel match grade barrel, an 8 shot magazine and a one piece scope mount. This varmint rifle also features: An intrinsically accurate system whose accuracy is determined only by the barrel. A system that maintains its accuracy and its zero until the barrel is worn out. A system that allows you to change out the barrel in a matter of minutes (you don't even have to take the scope or stock off!). A system where all parts are interchangeable. A proven system that has been tested to over 20,000 rounds without component failure (excluding barrel wear). An ergonomically-perfect stock shape, match grade trigger and ideal weight and balance that enables you to get the same precision in the field as obtained at the bench. A system that meets or exceeds the same exacting quality of manufacture, function and accuracy testing as that of the company's famous tactical rifles.
